JKW is a small metal fabrication and custom fencing and gate business that started from a passion of working with metal. My passion started in 8th grade metal shop class. I learned the basics of metal fabrication and new I wanted to be involved with metal fabrication in some form, whether it was as a hobbyist or as a professional. I got my first welding job in 9th grade. I was working for my friends parents who owned a custom trailer shop. I worked for them on the weekends and throughout the summers fabricating custom trailers. Since then I have always had metal working tools and have fabricated on the side for myself, friends, family, and coworkers. For the past seven years I was running a consulting business. As part of this consulting business I obtained a contract to fabricate, repair, and maintain all fencing, gates, and related metal fabrication needs for a company that owns cell towers. One of my previous partners was ready to retire and the work dried up so we shut that business down. I am now focused on metal fabrication and custom fencing and gates full time. I still provide metal fabrication services to many of the contractors in the wireless industry. To expand my services I obtained a 5’x10’ plasma table that is able to cut materials up to 1” thick.
